Introducing my Turquoise Bird Gourd Shard Necklace Set, a charming and smaller piece dominated by beautiful turquoise tones. The oval shard measures approximately three inches by two inches. We see a little bird that spreads its feathers as it boldly lands. This piece is sure to catch attention.

I began this piece by  wood-burning the outlines  of the bird. Then I applied alcohol dyes to achieve the vibrant colors of  blue. A small turquoise bead embellishes the center of the bird, while a lovely silver metal feather dangles from it. The silver-tone chain is approximately eleven inches long, providing an elegant look. The same beads are also used in the coordinating earrings.
