This Gold and Green Firebird Gourd Shard Necklace Set starts with an oval shard that measures 4 inches by 3 inches. I added bright green ink dye and alcohol to give it a textured background. The firebird was wood burned and then filled with gold leaf. The gold-tone chain hangs about 12 inches from the neck. I chose bright green glass beads and tiny gold butterfly beads for the chain and the earrings to help them sparkle in the light. Enjoy the conversations when someone asks you about this unique piece.
