My Golden Butterfly Gourd Shard Necklace Set is undoubtedly a statement piece for a dark-colored top. The butterfly in front of a glowing sunset creates the shape of the gourd shard. Then the lines were wood burned and ready for color! I started by covering the sun with copper and gold leaf foil. Then, the 4-inch by 5-inch shard was ready for copper and gold paint tones. The chain is about 11 inches from the neck. On the delicate gold-tone chain, I strung textured metal beads and a small butterfly bead, and just for accent, I added the shiny copper-colored beads.
