This Butterfly Mandala Gourd Shard Necklace Set shows a clever mandala pattern of four butterflies. The gourd shard is about 3 inches across, and the colors in turquoise and gold sparkle against the textured background. I did this with a woodburning pen to create tiny dots.

The gold-tone chain hangs about 11 inches from the neck and has turquoise and tiny gold-tone butterfly beads. The beads are repeated on the earrings to complete the set. I also enhanced the necklace with a brass bead at the bottom. The gourd shard has an exciting pattern that will draw a viewer’s attention, and you can begin a conversation about gourds!  Or perhaps this would make a great gift for that friend that collects jewelry.
