My Red Butterfly Flower Gourd Shard Necklace Set, is an impressive statement piece! It took several hours to cut the shard and woodburn the lines. The gourd shard measures 4 inches by three inches. Next came the challenge of what product to use as color. I decided on alcohol and water markers. This product allowed me to blend the colors and reveal the lines below. The color pallet was settled when I found my orange and red butterfly beads.

The gold-tone chain measures about 12 inches, placing the flower in the middle of the chest. The matching earring finishes the spectacular project.
